Job and Duties:
Develop resident's basic living skills through instruction and positive reinforcement Assist residents with personal hygiene and domestic duties Assist residents with self-administration of medications Assist and document the development and implementation of long and short-term goals for residents Accompany residents on community outings Coordinate resident participation in leisure, recreational, volunteer, and faith activities Develop and maintain a positive and effective relationship with residents, families, staff, administration, and other providers while assisting in coordinating all of their needs concerning residents Adhere to resident behavior and health management plans Maintain a safe environment for the resident, prevent harm to resident, self, and others Transport residents to and from work, scheduled appointments, and recreational activities in a safe and timely manner Maintain current certification as required by Magnify
Qualifications:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to communicate written and verbal instructions Must be a team player Ability to prioritize High School Diploma 1 year in a healthcare or childcare setting with individuals with disabilities College, vocational, or technical training for 30 hours, 45 quarters, or 720 classroom hours can be substituted for the required experience.
