DescriptionBishop Grady Villas is looking for a dependable person who enjoys assisting individuals with disabilities with their everyday activities in their homes and in community settings.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Develop resident's basic living skills through instruction and positive reinforcement.
Assist and document the development and implementation of long and short term goals for residents.
Develop and maintain a positive and effective relationship with residents, families, staff, administration, and other providers while assisting in coordinating with any all of their needs concerning residents.
Perform or assist residents with personal hygiene as needed.
Perform or assist residents with domestic duties as needed.
Coordinate resident participation in leisure, recreational, volunteer and faith activities.
Adhere to resident behavior and health management.
Maintain a safe environment for the resident, prevent harm to resident, self and others.
Transport resident to and from work, scheduled appointments and recreational activities in a safe and timely manner.
Maintain current certification as required by Bishop Grady Villas.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or childcare setting or in working with persons who have a developmental disability.
College, vocational or technical training equal to 30 semester hours, 45-quarter hours, or 720 classroom hours can substitute for the required experience.
Reasoning Ability:
Individual must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate written and verbal instructions.
Must be a team player.
Ability to prioritize.
Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
